Sarah Bettwieser is the owner and lead government affairs consultant for Cygnet, LLC. She is responsible for directing policy on behalf of her clients and building and maintaining relationships with Idaho legislators, government officials and other interested stakeholders.

 

With more than a decade of legislative experience, Sarah specializes in health care, insurance and business, and telecommunications having worked with some of Idaho’s largest companies. Sarah has extensive non-profit experience after serving as the Executive Director of the Idaho Governor’s Cup Scholarship Fund from 2015-2019. In her role, Sarah worked closely with the Governor and First Lady to secure roughly a million dollars annually in sponsorships and donations for the event. Money raised for this statewide organization provides scholarships to Idaho students pursuing higher education within the state.

 

What drives Sarah on a daily basis is her passion for working toward solutions to ensure Idahoans have access to affordable primary care and treatment for behavioral health and substance abuse. Protecting children is critical to Sarah and that is what led her to serve on the Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) board of directors. Sarah also serves on the Idaho Voices for Children Advisory Board, is a member of the FUNDSY Board,  the Idaho Governor’s Cup Board, and serves on the Programs Committee for the Idaho Youth Ranch. Sarah was recognized in 2020 as an Idaho Business Review Women of the Year honoree, a 2020 Tribute to Women in Industry honoree by the Women’s and Children’s Alliance and by the Idaho Business Review as a 2021 Accomplished Under 40 honoree. In her spare time, she enjoys a good round of golf, backpacking in Idaho’s wilderness, hitting up the ski hill, and spending time with her family and their critters.

 

Sarah is a graduate of Boise State University with a degree in business administration.
